The World: Through A Lens - U.S., Israel & Canada No-Show At Ahmedinejad UN Speech

UN 67th General Assembly General Debate
26 September 1012
(meet takes place from 25 September-1 October 2012)
UN Headquarters, New York, U.S.

“Adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations by peaceful means” - This the official theme for the latest gathering of the World's political leaders, as speeches are made and resolution propositions are up for negotiation at the Rockerfeller-financed headquarters in New York, U.S.A.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad delivered his statement to his counterparts, although the United States and Israel failed to make an appearance at all on the 26th September's proceedings, stating their reason being that their respective representatives were observing the holy Jewish day of Yom Kippur. The Canadian delegates were a bit more ballsy; "We will not sit silently in our chairs and listen to Iran's hateful, anti-Western, anti-Semitic views. If anything, today's address only reinforces our decision earlier this month to suspend diplomatic relations with Iran," said Rick Roth, a spokesman for Foreign Affairs.

Keeping in line with the General Debate's theme; Ahmedinejad's speech mentioned the words peace, love and justice 12, 13 and 15 times respectively. His address was overall more relaxed than his previous efforts, where he gave a vigorous stance on Iran having the right to defend itself via acquiring nuclear weapons if it so wishes to do so (as have many other countries throughout the world); something the U.S. and its allies are staunchly opposed to.

Gerald Celente - "Trends In The News"

Socioeconomic forecaster Gerald Celente brings forth Trends In The News, a series that analyses current affairs across the planet which in turn creates situations where the reactions to such are already predicted. By studying differing areas from politics to financial markets, Celente is able to accurately predict events to happen, like he did with the "Panic of '08" financial crisis, the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the 1997 Asian currency crisis.

Below are three of the latest episodes of Trends In The News, in which Celente discusses the 2012 U.S. Presidential race, the ever-increasing chaos ensuing in The Middle East, and financial execs getting away with stealing truly vast amounts of money from clients.

Peekaboo; Eye See YOU!! - Rachel Hartman - "Seraphina"

Synopsis:

Four decades of peace have done little to ease the mistrust between humans and dragons in the kingdom of Goredd. Folding themselves into human shape, dragons attend court as ambassadors, and lend their rational, mathematical minds to universities as scholars and teachers. As the treaty’s anniversary draws near, however, tensions are high.

Seraphina Dombegh has reason to fear both sides. An unusually gifted musician, she joins the court just as a member of the royal family is murdered—in suspiciously draconian fashion. Seraphina is drawn into the investigation, partnering with the captain of the Queen’s Guard, the dangerously perceptive Prince Lucian Kiggs. While they begin to uncover hints of a sinister plot to destroy the peace, Seraphina struggles to protect her own secret, the secret behind her musical gift, one so terrible that its discovery could mean her very life.

Seraphina, name meaning;
Feminine form of the Late Latin name Seraphinus, derived from the biblical word seraphim which was Hebrew in origin and meant "fiery ones". The seraphim were an order of angels, described by Isaiah in the Bible as having six wings each. This was the name of a 13th-century Italian saint who made clothes for the poor. As an English name, it has never been common.

The World: Through A Lens - 9/11 Remembered, In 2012

 September 11, 2012

Ground Zero,
New York, USA

Yesterday marked the eleventh-year anniversary of the 2001 World Trade Center attacks in New York, and the simultaneous "plane crash" at the HQ of the U.S.' Department of Defense, The Pentagon, in Virginia.

"Even the darkest day gives way to a brighter dawn" - part of the address by current U.S. President Barry Soetoro (aka Barack Obama) given to the family and friends of those that perished, at the site where the Two Tower's once dominated the downtown Manhattan skyline. The script that was prepared for the Kenyan-born Head of State to read aloud remembers the almost 3,000 people that unwittingly relinquished their lives so that the New World Order pursues their goal of a one-world government. The puppet leader of the Democrats gave a sterling performance as many of the audience in attendance wept achingly, longing to see their departed ones in the flesh again.
